A new lumbar assist seating system created for underground mine staff working loaders and haul trucks has resulted in lowered injuries and fatigue.

Perth-based Modern Motor Trimmers (MMT), which concentrates in suspension seats and seating products for the mining market, spent more than five years enhancing the pneumatically-operated twin air lumbar support.

The 2 stage lumbar system is integrated into the backrest of an ISRI premium-quality T-backed seat.
